Kathmandu Ridge Trek

2 Yesrs back memory of Kathmandu ridge/valley trek. This is a short and sweet trek around de Kathmandu valley. Just for the few days where you can feel something different than in city.

Route starts from Sundarijal, Kathmandu. For the first day, hike through Beautiful Tamang ethnic village Mulkharka and some parts of Sivapuri national park area. We sleep at Chisapani, a beautiful place from where we can see Langtang himalayan range and some parts of Helambu side also.

Then it follows Jhule-Jaharsing Pauwa-Nagarkot for the next day. Which is the best and very popular destination to see sunrise/sunset view located near Kathmandu. After the scenic view with sunrise from Nagarkot view point we go to Dhulikhel through Sivapuri jungle areas and some local villages of Kavre district. Then we reach beautiful historical city, Dhulikhel. This is the center of Kavre district.

Then we hike to Namobuddha monastery. It is related to Mahayana Buddhist sect. There we can see Monastery, buddhist school, hostel,stupas, tibetan clinic and guest house for tourist who stay overnight here. Some tourists stay here multi-days for meditation. We just visit here according to our short plan. Then visit surrounding the monastery and hike to Balthali village. Overnight there for this day. Enjoy with a beauful views of countryside and Balthali valley. Then back to Panauti by private or public transport, visit there at some temples and beautiful local Newari areas. Then back to Kathmandu city by private or public vehicle. It takes about 1.5 to 2 hrs drive. We come back through the cities Banepa, Sanga, Bhaktapur and enter in Kathmandu valley. Tourists who have just few days and can not do hard trek, It will be the better option for them regarding to budget, time duration and difficulties of the trek. Merci...Dhanyabad...Thank you.
